PODCASTER

In May 2020 I set up the LSE Geography & Environment Department's first official podcast, Geography Island Jams. The podcast is in the same style as BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Disc series whereby guests are asked what eight songs, book, and the luxury item they would take with them if they were stranded on a desert island.
The podcast was set up with the aim of virtually uniting the department's academic community. Through the sharing of stories and songs, we fostered a virtual community among students, staff, faculty and alumni.
The podcast has had over 40 guests and nearly 4,000 plays since it has launched. The podcast Instagram and Facebook pages have attracted over 540 and 130 people respectively.
